Mission

 

 

  • The mission of Teaching University is educational activity in teaching and scientific field, high citizenship self-awareness, estabishment of national and liberal values, preparation of high qualified professional staff;
  • Collaboration with higher schools and scientific-research institutes, non-governmental organizations, employers, students, academic personnel;
  • Integration of foreign citizens in Georgian educational field;
  • Support students’ employment and initiatives according to the demands of labor market;
  • Getting close foreign and local students, internationalization of teaching process.

 

  • For the fulfillment of mission Teaching University:
  1. A) is guiding with standards and recomnedations worked out by the ministry of education, science, and sport of Georgia and LEPL National centre for educational quality enhancement;
  2. B) fulfills inner and external evaluations;
  3. C) implements modern methods of teaching;
  4. D) accomplishes chargeable activity;

E ) assists to attract qualified teachers’ staff;

  1. F) takes care of rising qualification of academic personnel;
  2. G) renews infrastructure of teaching process;
  3. I) works out short-term and long-term(seven years) strategic development plans of Teaching Unversity;
  4. J) assists creating environment for individual’s personal and professional growth and provides to obtain constant education;
  5. K) defines entrance contingent, the number of academic programmes and opportunities of its future growth;
  6. L) establishes the budget of Teaching University allocates its expense part;
  7. M) arranges meetings between employers and students, helps them in future colaboration;
  8. N) assists to integrate Teaching University in European educational field;

                          Targets and tasks of Teaching University:

 

                              The targets of Teaching University are:

 

  • preparation of high qualified specialist corresponding to state standards in higher academic educational field: involving higher schools and scientific-research institutes, non-governmental organizations, employers, students and academic personnel and foreseeing labor market demands .
  • Obtaining high quality educaton for student’s intellectual, cultural and personal growth and opportunity to continue next stage learning;
  • giving the right of option to students and opportunity to become the main subject of the process of teaching-studying;
  • development of any student’s necessary knowledge and abilities for social success and self-realization on the base of open competetiveness and equal opportunities’ principles;
  • support student’s international mobility and internationalization;
  • assisting integration of ethnically multinational society;
  • improvement of learning conditions and setting infrastructure for disabled students;
  • implementation of constant teaching and fulfilement during the whole life;
  • assisting graduates for employement and adaption on the demands of labor market.

 

                               The tasks of Teaching University are:

 

  • implementation of system of education quality management foreseen by modern standards;
  • implementation of principles of constant education(“learning the whole life”);

provision of tight connection between teaching process and scientific-research acitivity;

  • long-term collaboration with strategic partners, Georgian and foreign educational and scientific-research institutions, professional and scientific associations;
  • asisting academic, scientific, personnel’s and students’ mobility;
  • implementation of joint educational and scientific-research programms;
  • objectivity and reliability of evaluation and selection and management of academic personnel.

 

                       

                                     Educational activity of Teaching University

 

  • 1. Teaching University is higher educational institution which is authorized on the base of authorization granted by the rule foreseen by legislation, to fulfill the first stage -bachelorship and the second stage- master program/programms of higher education.
  • for fulfilling educational activity Teaching University is guided by the the Georgian law “about higher education’, legal acts regulating educational field and legal acts issued by the rector of Teaching University.
  • any issue which will not be foreseen by the legal acts of rector of teaching University will be regulated according to Georgian legis
  • For the fulfilement of activity in higher education, Teaching University creates educational structures- faculty/faculties. Rector appoints the personnel on the academic position with corresponding competence on the base of competition and works out ,approves and fulfills educational programs involving them, provides assigning qualification - issuing diploma,educational document according to the established rule of Georgian legis

 Principles of educational activity

  • Teaching University provides:
  1. A) publicity and accessibility of University decisions, rector’s orders for any interested persons, except the cases, which is foreseen in law;
  2. B) Equal appealing to students, despite their ethnical origin, sex, social genesis, political or religios views and etc;
  3. C) taking academic position by transparent and open competition, fairness and transparency of the elections of academic personnel.
  • It must not be established any legal acts of teaching University norms which will restrict these principles.

  3. C) Faculty of higher education:
